Article 1 – Purpose and Scope
These Terms and Conditions (T&C) govern the contractual relationship between L’Îlot Pomme Cottage, hereinafter referred to as “the owner”, and any individual or legal entity, hereinafter referred to as “the guest”, wishing to book a holiday cottage or bed & breakfast accommodation.
Any booking implies unreserved acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
Article 2 – Booking
2.1 Booking Methods
Bookings can be made:

- Directly on the website https://lilotpommecottage.fr
2.2 Booking Confirmation
A booking is considered firm and final only after:
- Receipt of payment, in full if booked via the website, or deposit if booked by phone
- Receipt of the booking confirmation email
- For phone bookings with contract: receipt of the duly signed rental agreement or booking form
- Payment of the deposit(s) within the specified time limits (see Article 3)
A confirmation email will be sent to the guest specifying:
- Arrival and departure dates
- Accommodation reserved
- Number of guests
- Total amount and payment terms
2.3 Age Requirements
The principal tenant must be an adult (minimum 18 years old) at the time of booking and during the stay.
Article 3 – Rates and Payment Terms
3.1 Rates
All rates displayed are in euros (€) including VAT and include:
- Rental of the cottage or bed & breakfast room
- Access to shared facilities (swimming pool, garden, parking)
- Utilities (water, electricity, heating)
- Household linen (sheets and towels)
Not included:
- Tourist tax (see Article 3.3)
- Mandatory cleaning service
- Optional services (breakfast for cottages, additional cleaning, etc.)
3.2 Payment Terms
Accepted payment methods:
- Bank transfer
- Check (payable to L’Ilot Pomme Cottage)
- Cash (up to €1,000)
- Credit card if booking is made via the website
3.3 Tourist Tax
The tourist tax is set by the local municipality and collected by the owner on behalf of the local authority. The amount is indicated at the time of booking and is payable upon booking via the website, or on-site for phone bookings.
Article 4 – Cancellation and Modification
4.1 Cancellation by Guest
Any cancellation must be notified in writing (email or registered mail).
Cancellation Terms:
- For stays of less than 28 nights: Full refund if cancelled up to 5 days before arrival date. Less than 5 days before arrival, the stay will not be refunded.
- For stays of 28 nights or more: Full refund if cancellation occurs within 48 hours of booking and at least 28 days before arrival. After this period, the first 30 days of the stay are non-refundable.
We strongly recommend taking out cancellation insurance.
4.2 Cancellation by Owner
In case of cancellation by the owner (force majeure only), the guest will be reimbursed the full amount paid. The owner will endeavor to offer an equivalent alternative solution.
4.3 Booking Modification
Any request for modification (dates, number of guests, accommodation) is subject to availability and must be confirmed in writing.
Article 5 – Stay
5.1 Duration of Stay
Cottages:
- Check-in: from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM
- Check-out: before 10:00 AM
Bed & Breakfast:
- Check-in: between 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM
- Check-out: before 10:00 AM
Different times may be arranged in advance.
5.2 Number of Guests
The accommodation cannot host more people than the maximum capacity indicated. The guest agrees to indicate the exact number of occupants. Any additional undeclared person may result in refusal of access to the accommodation without refund.
5.3 Pets
Pets are accepted under certain conditions in cottages named “Pomme d’Amour” and “Pomme de Pin”. They are not accepted in bed & breakfast rooms or in cottages named “Pomme d’Happy” and “Pommier bleu”.
If accepted:
- Maximum 2 pets
- Must be kept on leash in common areas
- Not allowed on beds and sofas
- Guest is responsible for any damage caused by their pet
5.4 Inventory
Upon arrival at the accommodation, the guest must ensure the cleanliness of the accommodation and the presence and proper functioning of the provided equipment.
In case of missing or malfunctioning equipment, the guest must inform the owner within two hours of arrival. No complaints will be considered after this period.
The guest agrees to return the accommodation in the condition in which it was found (normal wear and tear).
5.5 Cleaning
An end-of-stay cleaning service is charged at the time of booking. However, the guest must leave the accommodation in a reasonably clean state (dishes washed and put away, bins emptied).
Article 6 – Guest Obligations
The guest agrees to:
- Occupy the premises responsibly
- Respect neighbors and the peace and quiet of the location (especially from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM)
- Respect the house rules present in the accommodation
- Not sublet or transfer the accommodation
- Immediately report any damage or malfunction
- Respect the rules for using facilities (swimming pool, etc.)
- Not smoke inside the accommodation
- Sort waste according to local guidelines
Any serious breach of house rules may result in immediate termination of the contract without refund.
Article 7 – Liability and Insurance
7.1 Owner’s Liability
The owner is insured for civil liability as a property owner for damages caused to guests due to the property. The owner cannot be held responsible for:
- Theft, loss or damage to guests’ personal belongings
- Accidents occurring outside the property
- Disturbances beyond their control (public works, weather, etc.)
7.2 Guest Insurance
The guest must be covered by “holiday home” civil liability insurance covering damages they could cause to the accommodation and to third parties.
7.3 Swimming Pool
Access to the swimming pool is the responsibility of parents for minors. Specific rules are posted and must be scrupulously respected. Supervision of children is exclusively the responsibility of parents.
Article 8 – Complaints
Any complaint must be made during the stay to allow the owner to remedy it quickly. Otherwise, no subsequent complaint will be considered.
Article 9 – Personal Data
In accordance with GDPR and French Data Protection Laws, personal data collected is necessary for booking management. It is neither sold nor transferred to third parties.
The guest has the right to access, rectify and delete their data by contacting lilotpommecottage@gmail.com.
Data is retained for a maximum period of 3 years.
Article 10 – Applicable Law and Disputes
These T&C are governed by French law.
In case of dispute, an amicable solution will be sought as a priority. Otherwise, the competent court shall be that of the location of the property.
Mediation: In accordance with Article L.612-1 of the French Consumer Code, the guest has the right to use a consumer mediator free of charge for amicable resolution of the dispute.
Article 11 – Severability Clause
If one or more provisions of these T&C are held to be invalid or declared as such, the other provisions retain their full force and effect.
Article 12 – Modification of Terms and Conditions
The owner reserves the right to modify these T&C at any time. The applicable T&C are those in force on the booking date.

By booking a stay at L’Îlot Pomme Cottage, the guest acknowledges having read these Terms and Conditions and accepts them without reservation.
